When taking the body’s ecosystem into consideration we find that there are “good” bacteria and “bad” bacteria that inhabit our digestive system. These bacteria leak into our blood stream and can thus affect the health of all parts of our internal system. When bad bacteria overrun the body, it can cause a myriad of symptoms like painful joints and muscles, headaches, eczema, hair loss, IBS, reflux, allergy, sinuses, autoimmune responses, incompetent organ function etc.
There are three effective ways to bring back the balance of good bacteria and the first is to address your dietary lifestyle. As much as the word diet is involved, it must be viewed as a lifestyle change and not a permanent state of suffering. You are elevating your body to better health and in effect after long term change, the dietary changes will become the norm. After all, your gut biome is seen as the second brain.
What is meant by the Gut as the second brain of the body is that, depending on the dominant bacteria found in the gut, it will determine which foods you crave and make you full. In all honesty, you have little control over what satisfies you and your cravings, as all that is ruled by hormones originating from your gut bacteria.
Step one: Cutting out food that feeds bad bacteria
Good vs Bad bacteria have different dietary needs, much like carnivores and herbivores to survive. Bad bacteria feed mainly on sugar (mainly refined) and starch and by cutting out these foodstuffs, you can effectively starve the bad bacteria, killing them in the process. There is some challenges to be considered in the four months of trying to change your internal microbiome. When bad bacteria start to die, they will try to save themselves. They will start producing hormones which will make its way to your brain saying: “We’re dying so you’re dying, and if you don’t eat that chocolate, you’ll starve”. This mechanism of survival is what causes those cravings that will lead you into a frenzy. It’s your bacteria and not you running this ship, and it’s time for you to start taking control of the wheel. You also might experience worsening symptoms for about 2 weeks before getting any better, depending on how many bad bacterial remnants your body needs to detox. This is due to the toxins being expelled from bacteria dying. I make the analogy to a rotting corpse.

Step two: Eat the correct food ratio
Good vs bad bacteria live and create different pH environments. Good bacteria thrive and create alkaline environments in the body, whereas bad bacteria lives and creates acidic environments in the body. A lot of us have heard of the phrase” our bodies are too acidic, or we need to be more alkaline”. To put this into context: our body needs to run at an optimum pH level in order for our enzymes to function properly. When the pH of the body shifts, it puts buffers in place to protect the systems for optimal function. These buffers can cause secondary problems like thrombosis, liver stress, thick blood, blood pressure, cholesterol etc. The best way to have a more alkaline body is to eat a diet that consist out of eating 20% acidic food and 80% alkaline food on a daily basis. This will help your body create an optimal environment for your good bacteria to rapidly grow, while simultaneously suppressing the multiplication of bad bacteria.
Before jumping on the bandwagon to start ingesting things like bicarbonate of soda, give a pause and read this article to see why it’s not such a good idea. Bicarbonate of soda and other similar antiacids/alkaline powder have negative effects on stomach acid and can cause acid reflux. Rather drink 30ml Raw Apple Cider Vinegar a day to combat acidity in the blood.
Step three: take herbs that naturally kill bad bacteria and establishing good bacterial culture
It is good to consider taking natural supplements like Viral Buster and Kabucu to combat bad bacteria affecting the body negatively. These types of supplements need to be taken two hours before or after probiotics to prevent it from interfering with good bacterial growth.
To establish good bacteria colonies in your gut, it is best to start with a colon detox in order to “refresh” the intestinal canal and purge most bacteria from the gut. This gives us a relative “clean” slate to start healing the intestinal wall and establish good bacteria in the digestive system. By using Umkhonto, you will be able to reintroduce good Vitamins and Minerals important to the gut lining that will repair it. To establish new colonies of good bacteria, use a pro-biotic like Intesticol, that will help reintroduce healthy bacteria back into your microbiome. It is important to remember that you need to take Umkhonto and Intesticol before food for maximum effect. It won’t help you put bacteria in your gut and don’t feed them. The poor things will starve.
